With our second consecutive contract win at the Army Futures Command (AFC), IPT Associates, LLC (IPT) continues its successful partnership with the AFC Data Decisions Sciences Directorate (DDSD) in supporting and developing the Modernization Application and Data Environment (MADE). Built on the Unified Data Environment (UDE) foundation IPT established on our first AFC contract, the goal of MADE is to enable Army leaders at every echelon to make fully informed, data-driven decisions, based on authoritative and/or production data sources. MADE accomplishes this by providing an application hosting environment for the sphere of applications supporting the Army’s mission and business processes.
On the new contract, IPT will build upon our UDE work by enhancing the enterprise level cloud-based environment to remain aligned with AFC DDSD’s strategic objectives for the MADE. Our primary focus areas will include the enablement of data science teams with the capabilities needed for the solutioning of big data problems, application migration and hosting of hundreds of mission applications, and securing the MADE at multiple Impact Levels (IL 2-6) in support of the AFC DDSD vision of enabling data as an enterprise asset for AFC HQ, subordinate commands, and down trace elements. This work will enable the migration of subordinate elements to a cloud environment by providing shared common services and cybersecurity control inheritance. IPT will support the migration of enterprise and mission applications currently hosted on Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN), and Secure Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN) to the MADE. We are also establishing a centralized encrypted data warehouse containing curated, rationalized data and an enterprise DevSecOps capability to support development and deployment of future applications drawing data from, and populating data to, the encrypted central warehouse.
Program Manager, Jeff Perry had this to say about the win, “I couldn’t be prouder of what our team has accomplished or happier to continue our work with the Army Futures Command. We are all looking forward to building on the great relationships and mission-focused productivity we established with the Data Decision Sciences Directorate on our first contract. The momentum we have moving into this new extended effort is really exciting and our team is ready to keep delivering and innovating for the AFC.”
