IPT performs system analysis in support of OSD and AF acquisition transformation initiatives. We directly provide detailed acquisition functional knowledge support to acquisition domain tool developers. We interpret requirements and capabilities desired by all possible management levels and prepare detailed specifications for developer use. We assist the developers in their understanding of the requirement and the nuances of relationships among different requirements
IPT has supported highly specialized, complex C4ISR Weapons Systems and Aircraft programs throughout DoD including the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Global Air Traffic Management Program (GATM), Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS), Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), Multi-sensor Command and Control Aircraft (MC2A), Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS), Mission Planning (MP), and highly visible Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) programs as well as the Missile Defense Agency (MDA/BC).
IPT personnel developed the System Metric and Reporting Tool; a core Air Force system for managing the Air Force Acquisition portfolio. IPT personnel have performed a vast array of cradle to grave studies and analyses including research, requirements definition, model development and simulation and assessing the impact of implementation of a specified solution. We employ Modeling and Simulation (M&S) techniques to define, test and refine requirements and solutions.
