IPT provides professional program and process management support through a suite of tools developed initially for Air Force acquisition support. The System Metric and Reporting Tool (SMART) design and development provides the IPT team with extensive experience in implementation of Gold Standard Air Force automated acquisition processes, training, architecture design, and complex IT systems integration and execution. To establish a framework for the suite of tools to operate within, we developed an embedded strategic planning capability that cascades and links strategic strategy with operational metrics that can be aggregated into an enterprise representation of successful process change, and more importantly, successful acquisition and deployment of systems to the war fighter.
SMART - System Metric and Reporting Tool
SMART is a web-based management tool designed for the Air Force Acquisition enterprise to steamline data reporting methods and provide a universal standard for assessing program health and performance. SMART is deployed across the Air Force Acquisition and Logistics enterprises and has about 6,000 users. SMART promoted non-intrusive transparency into official Air Force programs and provides reliable immediate information for senior level decision making.
